Ray Yon has been the financial services industry for over 20 years. The majority of his practice has been focused on benefits planning and enhancement for public service employees.
He is a Subject Matter Expert on federal benefits and has worked as a personal financial counselor and educator for federal government employees. He holds licenses in multiple states and has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC©) designation.
His teaching experience includes conducting numerous seminars for employees of the Veteran’s Administration, Department of Defense, Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Public Schools, and NOVA (Nurses of the Veteran’s Administration.
Ray is a service-disabled veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former employee of both the Internal Revenue Service and General Services Administration. He has 2 bachelor’s degrees in finance and business and an MBA from Western Governor’s University. In the financial services industry, he has been a manager and vice president of a major financial company focusing on public service benefits.
Education has been the most important element of Ray’s practice. He enjoys teaching and helping his clients to really understand their benefits and the implications of their choices. He has led many seminars and workshops for both federal and state employees and has taught many junior financial professionals how to build success in their own practices.
